We went on a trip to California and one of the cities we spent some time in was Los Angeles, the City of Angels. Before we visited LA, we stayed in Palm Springs with some friends. After our exploration of Palm Springs, it was off to LA. We went to several different places while in Los Angeles and that first day we arrived we went and visited the famous Hollywood sign! We were able to hike a little bit up towards the sign, but, sadly, we couldn’t hike all the way to the top as it was closed when we visited. From the top of our hiking spot we saw the Griffith Observatory and got an amazing view of the Hollywood sign.
The next day, we made our way to Venice Beach and the Santa Monica Pier! We walked around Venice Beach for a little bit and I even dipped my toes in the water. It was freezing though, that’s the Pacific Ocean for you. After we had lunch in a little restaurant by the beach we tried to find the Venice sign. In the movie The Kissing Booth, there is one scene where there is a hanging Venice sign and we walked around trying to find it because I really wanted to see it for myself. We finally found it and I got a picture with it. Afterwards, we made our way to the Santa Monica Pier and we went on the famous ferris wheel. It gave us a great view of the ocean and it was so cool to be so high up. When we came down from the ferris wheel, I got a slushie for an afternoon snack.
The following morning, we visited the campus of the University of California, Los Angeles. It is such a beautiful campus and it was so nice walking around and seeing what it was like. On the way to our next destination we also drove by Bel Air which is home to some of the nicest houses I have ever seen. They were all so big and beautiful. Later that day we also explored Rodeo Drive. We just walked up and down the street looking at all of the expensive and luxurious stores that lined the road. On a little side street off of Rodeo drive there was this delicious little Patisserie that we went to. Their desserts were delicious and so was their coffee. After visiting Rodeo Drive, I wanted to get some shopping done so we went to The Grove, which is a shopping complex in LA. I got a cute romper from there and then we headed back to our hotel. I spent the rest of the afternoon swimming in the pool! Los Angeles was so amazing and I had a lot of fun! I visited many famous places that I have wanted to visit for a very long time. It was my first time in LA and it did not disappoint.
